Join us for our annual church and ministry-wide time of rest. We believe that God calls us to serve and fulfill His great work. We also know that He calls us to come away and find rest in Jesus.
This will be a special time of prayer, fasting, journaling, and growing in an intimate relationship with Jesus. It will also be a time to focus on caring for ourselves as well as strengthening family relationships and friendships through the ministry of presence.
We understand that September can be hectic, but we invite you to take a step of faith and join us.

"The apostles returned to Jesus and told him all that they had done and taught. And he said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while.” For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat." ~ Mark 6:30-31 ESV
As we read further in this passage, the people saw them and followed them, and intercepted them on their way. The miracle of feeding the five thousand soon followed.
Earlier in this passage Jesus had commissioned the twelve disciples. He sent them out two by two to preach the message of repentance. It tells us that Jesus empowered them with "authority over unclean spirits." (Mark 6:7b). They "cast out many demons and anointed with oil many who were sick and healed them." (Mark 6:13). It goes without saying that they were likely exhausted. Jesus recognized this and invited them to rest.
We choose to accept Jesus' invitation to come away
with Him and rest.
This year's theme is "PEACE IN...". According to John 14:27, Jesus left us one of His most comforting gifts...PEACE. Calm amid storms, hope in the face of desperation, and faith to stand when the world seems to be falling apart. The inheritance He left us, the legacy He gave us was His Peace. Jesus' peace faced the cross with confident assurance His death would make salvation available for all mankind.

Jesus has left us the most comforting gift of all - Peace, as stated in John 14:27. No matter how chaotic the situation may be, Peace helps us stay calm, hopeful, and faithful. It is the inheritance and legacy that Jesus left us. What his peace looks like is Him facing the cross with confident assurance, knowing that His death would make salvation available for all mankind. Have you received Jesus’ gift of peace? Throughout this month, we'll explore this gift and legacy of peace that "surpasses all understanding". Learning to live in this grace daily.
